Gilberto Silva

Gilberto is a patron of The Street League, a UK based charity which organises football matches for homeless people, refugee and asylum seekers. In June 2003, Gilberto travelled to Brazil on tour with 17 Street League players





The tour included a visit to his home town Lagoa da Prata and games against local shanty towns teams at the Maracanã stadium

Task Brasil Trust was established in the UK in 1992 in response to the situation of the street children of Brazil. Its projects improve the lives and support the needs of children and pregnant girls living on the streets.
